Spot's Big Book of Colors, Shapes, and Numbers

Author: Eric Hill
Illustrator: Eric Hill
Publishing information: (Putnam Juvenile, May 4, 1994, Baby-Preschool)
Number of Pages: 32 pages
Genre: Informational

Summary of Plot:

This book is divided into three units: Colors, shapes, and numbers. For each item, Spot is doing something involved with it, wither it be looking at something green, something shaped like an umbrella, or counting five flowers.

My Reaction to the book:

It is extremely simple, yet it is very easy to follow. Its pictures are bright. Spot is a fun looking character that kids will like.

Potential Problems:

None

Recommendations:

This book is pretty good for learning colors, shapes, and numbers. If you want a wide variety of one particular unit, you should look at another book. This book just contains a small handful of each unit. It is a book children can handle well.
